(High Dynamic Range)...
High dynamic range processing is a new technique where
the exposure levels for the highlights, mid-tones and
shadows are optimised separately then merged to create a
single image. The results are often slightly surreal and
look very effective on a canvas print with the increased
colour saturation.
You can see here that the original
image has been exposed correctly for the building which
has resulted in the sky being over exposed. By
selectively reducing the exposure of the sky and the
ground then increasing the colour saturation of the
trees and building, the image has been totally
